Random Access Memory, or commonly referred to as RAM or memory, is a type of storage computer memory that temporarily stores open programs from the hard drive. RAM can have has multiple versions and amounts of storage. RAM uses DDR, or Double Date Rate, which is a form of advanced computer memory. Find the best memory is not hard. For gamers, the most commonly used as of the date this was written was DDR4, or double date rate version four. Memory is plugged into the motherboard via the DIMM slots, or dual in-line memory module. These sticks of memory fit more gaming motherboards found on Amazon, Newegg, and other online stores.

How much RAM is Enough?

RAM is one form of memory and storage that is used in a computer system. It is temporary storage for open programs. Typically, for any computer, the best amount of RAM overall is 16GBs. This is the best for a desktop or a gaming setup. More RAM then this is unnecessary unless for an advanced gaming computer. Anything less like 8gb or 4gb works well, but are not as good and cannot run as many programs as a computer with 16GBs. Anything lower than 4GBs is extremely slow and can barely run a modern operating system.
